The film rights for Koepp's thriller has been acquired already by Paramount Pictures. Cold Storage is set to release in 2019, and according to Variety the deal was in seven figures. HQ will publish it in the UK and Commonwealth excluding Canada and it will also be released in Brazil, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Japan, Portugal, Sweden, and in the Spanish language in Spain and the Americas by HarperCollins". A report by the The Bookseller reads "HarperCollins struck a deal for two books from Koepp, negotiated by Zachary Wagman, executive editor at Ecco, an imprint of HarperCollins, with Creative Arts Agency on behalf of Koepp. Now after 32 years, he has to help two storage unit guards in quarantining it again before the organism goes out of control. According to the blurb, Cold Storage is about Roberto Diaz, a national security expert, who helps in containing a deadly and contagious creature to a government facility. David Koepp's debut thriller novel Cold Storage, as reported by The Bookseller, is said to be a seven figures deal between the author and HarperCollins. HarperCollins Publishers has bagged the world rights of the upcoming book from the writer of movies like Jurassic Park, Mission: Impossible, Spider-manand Panic Room.
